All around town there are some small villages, very interesting to explore; the city of Évora, an old monumental town classified by the UNESCO as World Heritage, distant 60 Km from Avis, and other picturesque cities like Abrantes, Tomar, Portalegre, and so on, all of them not so far away.
Nearby Avis there is a beautiful river dam, ideal for leisure, but with a Nautical Club, where there is a restaurant, and infrastructures allowing not only swimming (public swimming pools are splendid), but also canoeing, angling, water-skiing, and other water sports.
Other activities are also possible, as there is a company that can organize some kind of events, such as radical sports, land cycling, etc.

These houses have been prepared to be explored as a tourism project, and, according to this goal, the necessary licenses giving permission to rent the rooms are easy to obtain.
