Facilities The completed development will also include a gymnasium, kindergarten, sports facilities and some commercial units for convenience shopping and restaurants.
Management The management of the development will be undertaken by the developer Ireland House SRL until the development is fully completed and handed over to the residents’ property management company. A property fit-out and letting service is also available through our local partners, which will provide a complete turn key solution for investors.
Brasov is located in the central eastern part of Romania in the Transylvania region, 160 km north of from Bucharest, which is 2.5 hours by car or rail. Due to its elevation (1,000m) it enjoys more moderate summer temperatures from 25 to 35 Celsius with light breezes compared to the oppressive summer extremes in the capital that can reach 47 Celsius. Because of this, Brasov is a favourite holiday destination for the growing middle class Romanians both in the summer and winter sport season when the local Tampa Mountains are covered in snow. Brasov is the third biggest city after the capital Bucharest and Cluje Napoca, and has a population of over 350,000 which increases to over 500,000 during the busy summer holiday and winter sports season.
A new highway is currently under construction which will link Bucharest with Brasov and continue on to the Hungarian border. The city is strategically placed for both industry and leisure. It also appeals to Romanians; those working locally and the middle classes who drive out from Bucharest to spend the weekend in Brasov. Located in the beautiful region of Transylvania and surrounded by the Carpathian Hills, Brasov is one of Romania's best known areas and one of its most valuable tourist assets.
The city has year-round appeal with hill walking in the summer and skiing only 13km away in Poiana Brasov. It is also used as a base from which to explore Bran Castle, the home of Prince Vlad Tepes, the inspiration for the Dracula novel. Day trips can also be made to Sinaia, the former summer home of the Romanian Royal Family.
The Romanian Government is pumping money into tourism which it sees as a major provider of wealth for the country in the future. Brasov will be at the centre of this tourism market.
Brasov is also emerging as a major industrial and commercial centre attracting large amounts of FDI. A new international airport is currently being planned outside the city. This is a Euro 85 million development and will have capacity for one million passengers per year.
A new ring road has been completed around the city of Brasov. This has reduced traffic congestion through the city and improved access to the surrounding commercial and business parks. International anchor stores include Carrefour, Bricostore, Metro Cash and Carry, Praktiker and Media Galaxy.
